Chenies Manor

Also very close to The Big Collective’s premises, just outside the Hertfordshire borders, lies the spectacular Chenies Manor, a beautiful and historic landmark with extensive, award-winning gardens, tucked away in idyllic Buckinghamshire countryside. With its rural location just outside the M25 and close to Pinewood and Warner Bros Studios, Tudor Grade I listed Chenies Manor is a superb location for film, photo-shoot, commercial and music videos.

Formerly known as Chenies Palace, it was owned by the Cheyne family who were granted the manorial rights in 1180. The manor remained in their possession until the end of the 15th century. The semi-fortified brick manor house which forms the core of the present-day structure was built by Sir John Cheyne in approximately 1460.

There are more historical ties with both Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I having visited the house on numerous occasions accompanied by their Courts.
The original manor house was extended in the 16th century by John Russell, later 1st Earl of Bedford, to whom the property passed through marriage.
In 1627, the 4th Earl of Bedford relocated the principal family seat from Chenies to Woburn Abbey. Chenies Manor then became a secondary home, occupied by relatives, later being let as a farm house.

It is now the perfect setting for weddings and parties from 90 guests in the Garden Room up to 230 guests.

Guest interaction for your 2018 announcements

Whilst many people were busy with Christmas and office parties, a number of corporate bodies were at work planning their BIG 2018 announcements!

Elaborate schemes were (and still are) being developed in total secrecy for ‘2018’ PR campaigns, product launches and company events, including; venue selection, speaker programmes, visual effects, music, catering, guest entertainment etc… Remember however, that there is one key ingredient that will make an event even more memorable: guest interaction.

This can be achieved in various ways, with tasks such as teamwork and role plays. However we would like to suggest another way to create spontaneous interaction, releasing the creative juices, in an experiential and fun manner – also linking via Social Media, enabling the event to make one BIG impact. Indeed, our range of creative solutions can certainly aid in making a BIG impression on the day.

From our Photo Booths, available in 3 formats including: Seated, Standing and Mirror Booths, to the more sophisticated Hashtag Pods, Graffiti Walls and Tweet Walls that truly unleash and amplify creativity – all of which can be branded and customised as required, with custom exteriors, interfaces (screens / graphics) and additional extras (i.e. themed props) – all crafted specifically for your event.

We love a challenge and have worked with prestige brands as diverse as United Airlines, Boots, Walkers Crisps and Google.

In addition, we are conveniently located near the M25, within easy reach of all London venues – especially near to well renowned venues such as Stoke Park, Moor Park Mansion and The Grove

Do not delay – contact us to get planning and make 2018 truly BIG!

The Big Booth Company at Bakers Tool Kit Launch Party

| by | Launch parties | 0 comments

She’s definitely not shire about coming forward… Luisa Zissman is the Queen of Hearts as she attends her Mad Hatter’s themed launch party on horseback

She’s been spotted at her fair share of showbiz parties in the months following her appearance on The Apprentice UK.

But while Luisa Zissman is generally used to arriving by cab at such events, the 26-year-old opted for a rather unconventional mode of transport on Wednesday evening when she turned up on horseback.

Luisa’s overstated arrival was all about turning heads, and she did just that as a shirtless hunk gently led her ride towards the venue for her Mad Hatter’s Tea Party themed launch party.

The bakery owner had organised the event to unveil Bakers Toolkit – the business she originally hoped to kick-start with a £250,000 investment from Sir Alan Sugar.

Funding for her new venture – a baking wholesaler that provides larger businesses with essential baking tools – was secured shortly after she lost out to Leah Totton in the final of the hit BBC show.

Arriving dressed as The Queen Of Hearts, Luisa cheerfully posed for photos with her adorable daughter Dixie before making her way inside the official launch party, where food came in the form of sugary cupcakes.

Amongst those to attend on Wednesday were Britain’s Got Talent impressionist Francine Lewis and former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips

Guests at the event got into the swing of the occasion by arriving in costume while Luisa posed for photos astride an ape sculpture.

Billed as a ‘fresh, new, iconic baking and cake decorating brand that will appeal to the masses,’

Bakers Toolkit is set to feature prominently at the Cake International event at Birmingham NEC between 8-10 November.

In September Luisa raised eyebrows when she asked her Twitter followers if she should drop the apostrophe from her new brand’s name.

‘Is it Bakers Toolkit or Baker’s Toolkit with an apostrophe?’ she tweeted, later adding that she decided to drop the apostrophe because she ‘liked the look of it.’

No7 Match Made Lipstick Service launch party + photo booth at Boots Manchester

Cult make up brand, No7, is hosting an event at Boots Manchester this weekend to celebrate the launch of the new Match Made Lipstick Service. The big idea is to match lipstick shades to your skin tone which should make buying that statement or day-to-day lipstick that bit easier. The information used to create the lipsticks has been drawn from the No7 Match Made Foundation Service – a special colour-measuring device which gives a precise foundation shade –  and they’ve just extended that matching service to include lipsticks. No less than 43 shades are available grouped into Light Pinks, Dark Pinks, Plums, Corals, Reds and Naturals. As part of the launch party, a Match Made Lipstick photo booth will be in Boots on Market Street serving up free pictures, with extra advice on hand from local beauty bloggers, Beauty Scoop and Hannahlouisef. If you are anything like us, you will be heading home with more than you bargained for – plus a load of snaps of your new look for free.

Sat 20 Sep, Boots Manchester, 32 Market Street, M1 1PL, 8am – 8pm, FREE, www.boots.com Follow #TaDah on Twitter for more.

Watford Football Club – HOSPITALITY: Family Day Fun!

| by | Sporting events | 0 comments

A magician, a photo booth and of course Harry the Hornet – all part of the Boxing Day family fun in the Hornets’ hospitality lounges…

IT WASN’T just a successful afternoon on the pitch yesterday (Boxing Day), but off it also, with many supporters young and old enjoying Family Day in The Vic’s hospitality lounges as Watford netted four times to see off Millwall.
Magician Gary Schiffman performed an amazing array of tricks and there were plenty of laughs generated by the Hornets-themed photo booth, provided on the day by Tom Davies of The Big Booth Company.
Harry the Hornet also paid a visit and all children present were given a special Christmas gift, thanks once again this season to a generous donation from Graham Hall of G. Hall Builders and Michael Schogger of 1CL.
Golden Boys Daniel Pudil, Tommie Hoban, Bernard Mensah, Luke O’Nien and Uche Ikpeazu headed over before kick-off, while Lloyd Doyley, Fernando Forestieri and Manuel Almunia joined the fun after full-time, and they couldn’t resist the opportunity to take full advantage of the photo-booth!
Watford FC wishes to thank all who contributed to what was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in The 1881 Club and the Sir Elton John Suite.
